When a new catalog comes into play, there are so many items that hit my wish list. Wanting just about EVERYTHING, I realize that I need to be selective and choose wisely. I can not even begin to tell you how much I love the Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set. The adorable drawing of trees and the words make it one set that you will need this holiday season. Scroll past the stamp set and see how I used Aqua Painters with Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set.
Aqua Painters with Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set:
Although this set is paired with a holiday project kit, it can definitely stand on its own! I love the words included in the set that I had to create my own class. Those attending will receive the stamp set plus 6 cards (3 designs.) Challenging myself to complete different looks from one stamp set is something I love to do.
Designing the Card:
I chose to use Stampin’ Up! watercolor paper and stamp tree images onto it. Stamping with Memento Black Ink, a few of the solid tree and a few of the outline trees were just the detail I was looking for. Even though the designer series paper is Garden Green in color, I used my Aqua Painter with a Wild Wasabi Reinker to color the trees. Add some metallic stars and my card is well on its way to be finished.
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- cut layering card stock (basic black) 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- cut watercolor paper 2 5/8″ x 4″
- cut designer series paper 2 5/8″ x 4′
- add ribbon to cover where the paper meets
- add your sentiment with dimensionals
Embossing the Greeting:
It’s been awhile since I broke out my heat tool. I love how the Gold Embossing Powder looks with the colors on the card. Simply use a Versa Mark Pad, stamp your greeting, add embossing powder and heat. I am sure you will LOVE embossing the greeting!
How to create the card:
Product Based Class:
One of my favorite monthly class is a product based class. I love sharing multiple projects using one stamp set. Having to complete 3 cards in one class, customers see how versatile the stamp set is. Providing different layers and color combinations, help with the creativity part of crafting. If you are interested in purchasing the class, send me a message here or at email@example.com.
Video on the kit:
As I mentioned, the stamp set coordinates with the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit. There are some great tips provided in the video so be sure to watch. The kit is definitely one you will enjoy completing!
Watercolor Christmas Project Kit:
The picture provided is of my cards from the kit! Quick but just the right amount of detail to send out this holiday season!
