The theme this month, believe it or not, showcasing product from our upcoming Holiday Catalog that goes live on September 1st! What better way to get you excited then a little blog hop featuring NEW HOLIDAY product!
Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop – August 2017
I decided to create with the Carols of Christmas Bundle for the Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop – August 2017. It checked off multiple tasks on my to do list: the Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop, highlighting the EARLY RELEASE of the Carols of Christmas Bundle and Christmas Card Club projects. Are you ready for the details on my card?
I wanted to make at least one card with a different fold for this month’s Christmas Card Club. Nothing too fancy, I decided on a gate fold with a belly band. It is simple to duplicate and hopefully you will enjoy creating your own.
- cut solid card stock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″
- cut 2 Whisper White card stock 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″
- cut Designer Series Paper (Eastern Palace Speciality Designer Series Paper) 1 5/8″ x 5″
- cut Whisper White card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside layering piece
As you can see, I used several of the stamps and thinlits to decorate the inside of the card. I really like the small reindeer, do you?
The Belly Band:
With both greetings making great focal points, it was perfect for the belly band around the card. I stamped in Dapper Denim and placed a tree in Tranquil Tide and Whisper White off to the right side. Adding a small deer just made it extra festive.
belly band measurements:
- cut Whisper White card stock 2″ x 11″
- I didn’t score, I just wrapped to the front and OVERLAPPED the card stock in front. The sentiment covers it.
- cut solid card stock 1 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, Holly Embossing Folder used for texture
- cut silver glimmer paper 3″ x 3″
- using the largest square from Stitched Shapes Framelits for the Peace on Earth
Attaching the Whisper White Stitched Shapes Square to the Silver Glimmer Paper could be tricky. I used mini glue dots to adhere. The red star was cut from one of the thinlits and placed on the tree with a mini dimensional. A lot of small details to finish the card!
More Ideas with the Carols of Christmas:
Are you wanting to see more samples from the Carols Of Christmas? With the early release this month, home office provided this video to share. It highlights how unique the bundle is and provides several cards you can easily copy on your own. Take a look!
The Christmas Card Club:
I mentioned earlier the card was to cover several items on my to do list. The card is part of my Christmas Card Club for August. What are the details on my club? Each month, I select one stamp set/bundle and create 4 cards. Club Members come to my home on a specific day to create their cards. There is a 5 month commitment, along with a minimum $25 order each month. Club members complete 40 cards by the end and receive $15 in FREE product one of the months. It truly is a blessing sharing what I love with people. The simplest card can easily bring happiness and joy to someone. Have you thought about sending out handmade cards to your family and friends for Christmas? My club is available “to go” as I am able to prep all the supplies to complete my cards minus the stamping at your home. Being part of the club, you can select the monthly stamp as your purchase or ANYTHING you want! There is an additional shipping fee for members out of state but I do not think you will be disappointed. Contact me for details.
Card #1 for the August Christmas Card Club with Bonnie was featured last week on my website. Be sure to check out the post, Early Release, Carols of Christmas Bundle, featuring the Deck the Halls sentiment.
