Happy Holidays to you! Yes, it is December 10th and Christmas Eve is 2 weeks away! How did that happen? I am sharing another collection of holiday cards in this post. For 6 months out of the year, I devote one class to holiday cards. I truly feel this helps eliminate the stress of making cards. Let’s see what projects were included in the Holiday Cards July 2024 class.

Card #1
The Sophisticated Sled was released as an online exclusive. Have to love all the additional products that are added to the Stampin’ Up! inventory. Immediately I knew I wanted this set because I loved the sled. Although it takes several pieces to create, it is worth it! I have made the wreath and sled on other cards but haven’t used the ice skate yet. I grew up ice skating on the local ponds in the area. They don’t seem to freeze over like they once did.
small detail:
I trimmed off an inch from one end of the card to make it shorter so that the gingham or plaid designer series paper would show when the card was closed. The small detail to the card makes it rather eye catching.

Card #2
I saw this card somewhere on the internet, the design that is. Before this class, I used this same layout to create a baby card. It came out super cute! Using a 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Basic White, cut several 1″ x 1″ squares to place on it to create the layout. I used Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the wreath before using blends to color the image. When the image is small, using SU! classic ink pads are OK! It rarely blends the color over the lines.
small detail:
Using your favorite embossing folder, run it on the layering card stock to add texture to your layout. It just helps with bringing the pieces all together.

Note Cards!
I am a fan of Stampin’ Up! Note Cards. Here in the USA, they can mailed! It is a challenge at times to design on a small space but who doesn’t welcome a challenge. When using 12″ x 12″ designer series paper, one sheet can cut up to ten 4 1/2″ x 3″ layering card fronts!
small detail:
I love ribbon! It is the mascara to my card and if I have, I will use it! The two I used in class are perfect for this paper. I used the Glimmer Paper with a retired punch for the trees. Do you ever sit back and look at what you created and smile?

Keeping it short:
I am trying to get the information out there. Being honest, posting to my website sometimes takes me hours! The distractions are endless. I am trying to prove to myself if I keep it short, I can share more and that’s the goal – SHARE!
- card bases are 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- scored at 4 1/4″
- the note cards are prescored and come packaged with 20 cards and envelopes (great value)
- layering card stock is usually 1/4″ smaller
- add embellishments where you see a place. Stampin’ Up! has a wonderful assortment to choose from
- be creative
- have fun and share with your friends!
Happy Stampin’
