Where has this year gone? I can’t believe it is the Color Fusers Blog Hop November 2024 today! So excited to share my creations with you because…I kind of like this pairing of colors and made not 1 but 4 cards!!! I created a whole class using these 3 colors. Let me share them with you!

My Projects

I have been creating projects for my coming holiday retreat as well as my holiday card club classes. Seeing these colors really got me excited to use sets other than holiday, however, I did sneak one in!

Basic measurements for all 4 cards:

  • cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • score at 4 1/4″
  • layering card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • basic white card stock 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • merry christmas sentiment – white card stock is 1 3/4″ x 5″ and the berry burst is 2″ x 5″

Card #1:

I saw this design and knew it had to be done. I love showing off the colors with paper and creating own background paper. For this particular card, I used strips of 1″ scrap paper and placed them randomly in several directions. It’s a different look but I like it. Because of the holiday season fast approaching, I was happy to create with a flower stamp set, Cheerful Daisy. Rarely used, no other reason short on time!

Card #2

The Filled with Fun Stamp BUNDLE caught my eye immediately when it was released as an online exclusive. Being a mom to 3 boys, the wagon was the selling point. I had to have it. I have used the flowers from this stamp set a few times but so happy to finally use the wagon and fill it with presents. The Forever Plaid Embossing Folder was just the right touch of texture for me to complete the look I wanted.

Card #3

I was on a roll and knew I wanted to try a snowflake card with these colors. Well one turned into 2! No complaints because both took minimal time and can easily be duplicated. That is always a focus, creating a card that you can easily recreate. Both cards I used the same card stock, ribbon and embellishments. Since Berry Burst and Azure Afternoon are on the darker side, when I used the blending brushes, I went extra light. The key to the brushes is to start the shading process on your scrap mat before hitting the actual card front. I used my new oval punch for the sentiment and of course finished it with a bow and some embellishments. I am ok with no snow, the snowflakes on the card are great, no need for outside ones!

Card #4

The last card for this month’s blog hop! Last month I only shared one, which by the way was a HIT on Instagram. I think over 400 likes – that’s big for me! I love that people liked it. A repeat for this month would be just as perfect! Here the card is stamped with a space showing but is covered with the Merry Christmas sentiment. I fussy cut the snowflakes for both card #3 and card #4. Finishing the card with the same ribbon and rhinestones as Card #3.
