Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2024
May 6th, the first Monday of the month and time for the Color Fuser Blog Hop May 2024 to go live! This month the color combination featured two in colors paired with a pastel color. I knew I wanted to use a new stamp set and I am happy I did. Let’s get right to it!
My project:
It never fails, I can’t just make one project. There are times, I say only one design and move on but most of the time, as I am creating, I am thinking about the 2nd project while completing the first. Also, I tend to want to do color blocking each month because I love drawing attention to the colors featured! Hopefully you are inspired by the cards I am sharing today. I would love feedback!
Card #1:
I received a box of goodies over a week ago but I haven’t had a chance to use my new product. Today, I finally got to use my new supplies for this blog hop! Do you like seashells? I am such a beach fan that this was the first bundle I purchased. I am looking forward to creating more with this set.
The details:
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- stamp image in coordinating ink to create frame
- cut center rectangle 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
- cut basic white 4″ x 3″
- stamp speckle dots around the edge of the basic white
- using the coordinate dies, stamp and die cut images as showm
- using the embossing folder, use basic white to create the sand dollar
- after die cutting, use a spoge dauber to shade
- stamp sentiment
- assemble card as shown
- add ribbon
- add rhinestones
- adhere to card base
Card #2
Color blocking is a favorite of mine with this blog hop. Usually, our papers don’t have all the colors in it, so making your own, brings it all together. Do you agree?
The details:
- cut card stock 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″
- score at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″ (this will create a “Z” fold)
- cut card stock 2″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (same color)
- cut a piece of white card stock 1 7/8″ x 5″
- adhere 1 1/4″ strips to 1 7/8″ x 5″
- layer on to a piece of card stock 2″ x 5 1/4″
- add ribbon
- die cut Stylish Shape Square
- cut white card stock 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
- stamp sentiment and adhere to square
- sponge dauber butterfly
- adhere to white square
- assemble card as shown, I used dimensionals to attach the square to the folded part of card
- add rhinestones
Time to hop!
