Paper Pumpkin December 2023 plus ALTERNATIVE Cards
WOW! Seriously, I am taken away with what is happening with Paper Pumpkin lately. Have you checked out the latest kits? I mean, talk about a transformation in the RIGHT direction! I absolutely fell in love with December’s kit. We need to see Paper Pumpkin December 2023 plus ALTERNATIVE Cards, because it’s too pretty not to share!
All the best!
To end the year with this kit was such a delight! After all the holiday craziness, it was awesome to open the Paper Pumpkin box and see such pretty, soft color palette. Not to mention, look at the cards included in this kit. One is prettier then the next.

We are talking about alternatives!
Back by popular demand, alternatives with the Paper Pumpkin kit. Granted, I haven’t broken out of just creating cards because I have been loving the projects. There is a whole process to my madness. I think about the colors, I try not to repeat card bases, I try to use different color combinations, I try to keep it interesting and above all, I try to keep them duplicatable. My goal is to help you with yout crafting. To inspire you, to have you reach out, to build a crafting relationship. I hope you enjoy looking through my 4 alternative cards.
Card #1
It has been awhile since I created a card with a belly band but that circle makes an ideal buckle!
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2
- score with the 8 1/2″ along the top at 2 1/8″ then flip the card and do it again at 2 1/8″ (just felt it was more accurate!)
- using a card from the kit cut (2) 2″ x 5 1/4″ for the panels
- inside the card, trim 4″ x 5 1/4″ card stock and stamp with images and sentiment
- 1 1/4″ piece of scrap to create belly band and wrap from the back to the front. Any gap will be covered by the circle.
- 1/2″ piece of scrap added to the center of the belly band
- assemble card as shown
- add the balmy blue gems from the kit
Card #2
A little fun fold card that is simple but effective!
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, cut off 1″ x 5 1/2 ” from one end, cut a 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside the card
- score at 4 1/4″
- cut coordinating card stock 3″ 5 1/4″ x and emboss with your favorite embossing folder (softly sophisticated)
- cut white card stock 4 x 5 1/4″
- using spong daubers use corridinating colors to create a border
- stamp sentiment on cut out
- attach spray of flowers
- assemble card
- add ribbon
- add embellishments
Card #3
Using the envelope on this gem.
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/2″
- cut card layer from card 4″ x 5 1/4″
- using the deckle die cuts, cut the envelope and the layering piece
- stamp sentiment, for alittle pop, I stamped on scrap and cut the words
- assemble as shown
- add the blue gems
Card #4
The last card I was inspired by another but put my spin to it!
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/2″
- cut card layer from card 4″ x 5 1/4″
- stamp sentiment on an angle then add the flower to fill in
- tie ribbon before attaching to card base
- die cut the scallop contour frame
- add the flowers with dimensionals
- punch a vase (yes, my punch is retired)
- add to the base of the flowers with dimensionals
- tie the bakers twine (I used 2 strans as it helps with tying)
- assemble card as shown
- add your gold gems
