Holiday Retreat 2023

Although my holiday retreat was back in November, I have not had a chance to share the event. With my Winter Retreat fast approaching, I thought it might be nice to feature a post on such an incredible weekend. My Holiday Retreat 2023 was an event I truly treasured. It was a packed house and hours of crafting. I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures of the projects in this post!

This was my 3rd retreat for 2023. Each retreat, I have been fortunate enough to use the Memories and More kit to create cards. Believe it or not, no stampin was done to complete the Beary Christmas cards. Crazy, right? I use the big cards for my layering of the card base and then pair it with smaller cards. Adding some punches, die cuts, ribbon or rhinestones always seem to help as well. Everyone makes 6 cards and goes home with any left over cards they may not use.

Holiday Retreat 2023 Framed Art!

There is something magical about framed art projects. I am told, I do amazing work. As I am creating, I will be honest, I ALWAYS second guess myself. The Hoilday Retreat 2023 Framed Art was made from cards in the Beary Christmas memories and more card packet. I did ZERO STAMPING on this project as well. My goal, to create 6 cards and one framed art from 1/2 a pack of cards per person. I accomplished it

The Set Up!

With each framed art, I set them up the same. Each square is in it’s own basket and all the supplies needed. I also make an additional square to place on each basket so they know which square is being made. It makes the process go alot quicker.

Shoe Box Swap!

At each event, I organize a shoe box swap for those attending. Basically, who ever would like to join in, create a card and then make 5 more packets for 5 others to creats. I absolutely LOVE this swap because it gets people crafting and sharing their talent! My only request, to use current merchandise.

3D projects!

At the retreat, I created a few 3D items for everyone to make. They went over really well! Be sure to check out the post, A few treats from my holiday retreat, to learn all about them. Already one of the crafters sent me an alterative to the Christmas Tree box, an Easter Egg box!
