Color Fusers Blog Hop December 2023

The last month of 2023 is here. I can’t believe it. I do love this month for all the holiday decorations and fun events that take place. Do you love this time of year too? What is your favorite thing? Cooking, baking, wrapping gifts, sending cards, decorating, family time…whatever it is I truly hope this month is a joyful one. The Color Fusers Blog Hop December 2023 shares a bright and cheery color combination. I hope you enjoy my projects as well as the other demonstrators.

My Projects:

When the colors are released, I don’t check until the actual month. I love the wait, the surprise and then the thinking of what am I going to create. Yes, most of the time it’s a card, however, I try my hardest to show at least two items featuring the colors. This month, I did create 2 cards but I used the same bundle on both.

Card #1:

I used 2 stamp sets on the card because I am obsessed with sketched plaid. It is so helpful with creating backgounds and it is easy to coordinate colors to fit your card.

  • cut card stock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
  • score at 5 1/4″
  • cut layering card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • cut basic white 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • stamp sketched plaid on the basic white card stock
  • die cut the flower bundle from the cheerful dies
  • die cut the scallop contour frame
  • using daubers, color the die cut to your liking
  • adhere to the frame using liquid glue
  • add wink of stella to the leaves and center of the flowers
  • add ribbon
  • stamp sentiment on 1/2″ scrap
  • assemble card as shown

Card #2

Card #2 came to light because I wanted to try my deckled circles. Are you shaking your head? I have to admit, I have a handful of new product from the annual catalog and I am determined to use it BEFORE the next annual catalog.

  • cut card stock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • score at 5 1/4″
  • cut layering card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • emboss with your favorite embossing folder
  • die cut numerous deckled circles
  • emboss and stamp to your liking the circles
  • cut strips of paper adhere to scrap white
  • trip off the excess
  • make one large circle by running through the die cut machine
  • stamp sentiment on scrap white and punch with 1 1/2″ circle punch
  • apply to one of the smaller circles
  • add ribbon
  •  assemble as shown
