Color Fusers Blog Hop August 2023
Happy August!! Can you believe it is August! Summer is flying by and I want it to slow down. I love the warm days and longer hours of sunlight. This past month, I somehow shifted my knee cap which caused me to have numerous tests done, a brace to be fitted and physical therapy to start. I am starting to feel better and can not wait to have zero pain. Thankfully, it didn’t stop me from hosting my Summer Retreat (amazing time) and I was able to still sit and craft! Are you curious to see this month’s color combination? Let’s take a look at what I created for the Color Fusers Blog Hop August 2023.
My Project:
Lately, my customers have been requesting masculine cards. I too could use them. I’m pretty sure we all could use them. Reaching for my Trucking Along stamp set and created the card below. Stampin Blends were used to color the truck instead of using the filler stamp. I added flowers to the bed of the truck and used a little pop of color on them.
The Details:
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- cut layering piece 4″ x 5 1/4″
- cut white card stock 3 3/4″ x 5″
- run through an embossing folder of your choice
- add DSP (1 3/4″ x 5″)
- add 1/2″ strip of misty moodlight
- die cut shape to stamp image on
- color with stampin’ blends
- assemble card as shown
- add a sentiment of your choice
Another option:
I just received my Sea Turtle stamp set and was so excited to use it. The colors may not be ideal for a sea turtle, however, I think it works rather nicely the color combination this month. Using sponge daubers I colored the stamp then stamped onto white card stock. No punch, no dies, that I fussed cut the turtle. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight so all the colors would be stamped on the Boho Blue card stock.
