Color Fusers Blog Hop March 2021
The days go by so quickly, especially when you think they aren’t! How is it the first Monday of March already? Are you ready for the Color Fusers Blog Hop March 2021? The colors this month reminded me of something masculine but I went a different route. I didn’t make a card! I made a framed art piece (WAY TOO LONG!) using a new bundle from the mini catalog!
Seaside Spray, Gray Granite and Early Espresso screamed masculine but then it also screamed the beach to me. The weather has been so gray and cold here in New York, I went the beach hoping for warm weather from a bright yellow sun! The new Friends are like Seashell Bundle is so pretty! I love the whole suite but I only used the the bundle and one pattern from the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper Pack.
Each square is 3″ x 3″ and I follow the rule of 1/4″ smaller for layering layers. The rectangle is 6 1/4″ x 3″. I used a few pieces of Designer Series Paper, stamped a few of the seashells and of course added some ribbon. When I first started I was worry I wouldn’t like the end result but come on, when you use Stampin’ Up! products, the end result always is amazing! I can’t wait to have to schedule a class for this framed art!
To line up the squares:
Don’t worry, this is a quick tip in lining up your squares. Trim card stock to 1 1/4″ and place in the four corners. I put a mini glue dot behind each square to hold in place while I position the squares. If I need to move a square, the mini glue dot doesn’t minimal damage to my 12″ x 12″ card stock. Once the corners are in position, I then place the middle squares leaving the middle row to the last thing I place.
Time to hop!
Well I hope you enjoyed my framed art this month. I had a fun time creating and using a color combination I have never used! Hop through the other talented demonstrators to see what they created with this month’s color combination. I love seeing their creations!
