Making Christmas Bright Gold Note Card

The Making Christmas Bright Bundle in the holiday catalog was given to me as a gift on the Incentive Trio to Alaska.  Back in July I looked at it and loved the fact the stamp set had a sooridnating punch.  The Christmas Bulb Builder Punch is wonderful addition to Stampin’ Up!’s inventory.  For instance on my Making Christmas Bright Gold Note Card, I used the small bulb attachment stamp as my ornament topper and then used the punch.

Making Christmas Bright Bundle

From the picture of the bundle, one can create any assortment of color light strands.  I wanted to show using the set to design an ornament.  The star circle stamp gave me the idea of a round ornament and then I saw the words would fit nicely inside.  I love the All is Bright Designer Series Paper and the “ornament” page really helped with the inspiration to create my note card.

Gold Glimmer Makes the Note Card Sparkle

Once I selected the Designer Series Paper Pattern, the gold elements in the photo really caught my eye and I knew Stampin’ Up! Gold Glimmer Sheets would look perfect with the card.  I cut two 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ strips and tucked it slightly under the 2″ Designer Series Paper.  Using Tear & Tape Adhesive, the paper attached to the glimmer with no problem and then I adhered to the Crumb Cake.  I stamped my sentiment in Soft Suede and in some lighting, it looks gold.  At first I was going to use gold embossing powder to tie it all together, however, using the ink pad cut down my time on mass producing the card.  I love the simple bow added to the ornament to finish my card.
