Buffalo Check Stamp Set with Stampin’ Blends

Have you seen the new Buffalo Check Stamp Set in the Holiday Catalog?  It’s tucked on the left side of page 38.  I know I passed right by it until I saw all these projects featuring the check look and did a little investigation.  It didn’t take me but a minute to place it on my next order so that I could start creating with it.  Today’s post includes a note card from Stamp-a-stack class.  The Buffalo Check Stamp Set with Stampin’ Blends was a hit!

Before:

The first attempt with the Buffalo Check Stamp Set, I simply stamped in Crumb Cake Ink onto my Whisper White card stock.  I designed the card with a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and added a tree from the Rooted in Nature Bundle.  Now, focus for a second on the tree.  After several attempts, using sponge daubers to transfer the ink onto the stamp, it gave me the desired look I was hoping for.  It was so easy!  I added a bow of course using the NEW braided linen trim.  To me, creating a masculine card always comes in handy!

After:

After I finished the above card, I always like to try to create a different look.  To add a little “WOW” I grabbed my Stampin’ Blends in Old Olive and Cajun Craze.  Using a ruler, I created lines both horizontally and vertically over the Buffalo Check stamped image.  How cool does it look?  It truly tied everything together giving my note card a completely different look.

Facebook Live!

I was able to feature this quick technique on my Facebook Live today.  My Facebook Lives take place on my Facebook Business Page, Bonnie O’Neill, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  Watch the video for the tips on making the note card.  I am so looking forward to using other color combinations with the Buffalo Check Stamp Set and Stampin’ Blends.

Opps!

On the video I wrote the measurement for the layering pieces for the note card incorrectly. 🙁

  • cut Old Olive 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″
  • cut Whisper White 3″ x 41/2″
  • stamp on scrap Whisper White paper to create the trees
  • cut Old Olive strip 1 1/8″ x 4 1/2″
  • cut Whisper White 1″ x 4 1/2″
