A little Halloween fun
One day at the gym, a friend walked in with leggings that looked like black and white marble. It immediately caught my eye and made me think of the shaving cream technique with ink refills. I knew I had to try it and what better time than to create a background for a Halloween card. Today’s post is a little Halloween fun!
Shaving Cream and Black Ink Refill
Are you wondering about the background? How to get the marble look? It is not too hard to create that I have attached my Friday Facebook Live to share with you! To get started, you need a few items.
- cookie sheet
- shaving cream (foam)
- a knife
- card stock
- ink refill
Facebook Live – would not download 🙁
I cut my layering piece 3 3/4″ x 5″. You will smooth out the foam shaving cream and add drops of ink refill to it. With the knife, swirl it through. Place the card stock on top, gently press and then pick up. Using your knife, gently remove the shaving cream to reveal your awesome design! You can repeat it a few times before the color fades. Well my phone decided to not save the video because lack of memory and then I deleted stuff and retried it on YouTube and unfortunately I keep getting an error with upload. I guess it is just not my day. Here’s the link to the FB LIVE – hoping it works! Shaving Cream with Ink Refill on FB Live
I made a VIDEO!
I wasn’t happy that my FB LIVE did not save and made a video today. Hopefully, you love making your Halloween card following my simple tips.
Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper
After I created my background, it was time to finish the card. Originally I was planning on a note card, but the background barely showed once I added the other elements. The pattern paper does have coordinating framelits for several of the patterns, however, I picked my witch and did the old fashion fussy cutting. I love all the bright designs featured in this pack.
