Dashing Deer Card Swap
When a new catalog is introduced, demonstrators organize card swaps. One of the perks of being a demonstrator, you can order from a new catalog one month before it goes live! Orders are placed, cards are created, mailed all over the country and then sorted. Once sorted, cards are sent back and you now have a collection of cards from the new catalog to display and share with customers! I was fortunate and participated in a few this time around and today’s post features my Dashing Deer Card Swap that went to Iowa!
I often can not make just one sample. Stampin’ Up! offers amazing product to work with that creating only one style or color combination, is challenging for me. I love I can show the same design with different colors or change the card from vertical to horizontal. For the Dashing Deer Swap Card, I chose two different patterns from the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper. Next, I picked my solid card stock and began creating. As you can see, I made slight changes with the card stock, ribbon and the deer. Simple, subtle changes but look equally amazing! I truly love Stampin’ Up! products and how well everything coordinates!
Make your own:
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- cut layering card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
- embossing in Woodland Embossing Folder
- cut Designer Series Paper 2″ x 4″
Using the 2″ Circle Punch, stamp your sentiment and punch. Place it on the Starburst Punch, it’s the perfect layering piece! The deer was stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White and Soft Suede Card Stock. I used Copper Foil Sheet for the flower on the one deer. Add your ribbon and use dimensionals to adhere the sentiment and deer. Hopefully you will love making a few of these holiday cards!
The card swaps I received back I could not wait to share with you! After this picture, I will place them on foam boards to share with my customers to get ideas! I love seeing different color combination, designs, stamp sets, just about everything WOW’s me! If I am stuck on a design, I often refer to these cards for inspiration. Another wonderful thing about being a part of Stampin’ Up! is the sharing between one another. I know I love to share with everyone because why keep it to myself! Crafting is so rewarding to my soul and getting to share with you is always worthwhile!
Do you have a favorite? Many great samples, it is hard to pick my favorite!
