Color Fusers Blog Hop September 2018
Happy Labor Day to each and every one of you! I hope you have had a lovely holiday weekend. Mine was a bit busy but like every year, you cram in as much as you can hoping summer will not end! I love summer and I am not ready to say good bye! However, it is the first Monday of the month and that means Color Fusers Blog Hop September 2018 is here! YAY!
A little fun!
As I was wrapping up my Holiday Card Class last week, I mentioned to members I needed to create a card for the upcoming Color Fusers Blog Hop. I grabbed the 3 ink colors, Blackberry Bliss, Blueberry Bushel and Gray Granite and my holiday catalog. I really wanted to make a card featuring a new stamp set and as flipped the pages, I stopped when I reached the Peaceful Noel Bundle. The images were “fallish” to me and with this month’s colors, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. I cut some paper and started stamping, mind you, as people were here. Numerous attempts, numerous changing colors of stamped images and I still wasn’t feeling what I wanted. Then it came to me and I was on my way! Sorry, no one thought to film me in action.
Dual purpose!
As I started making the first card, I decided I was also going to make 22 more and use it for an upcoming card swap! YAY! As you can see, I used one of the stamped images and stamped around in a circle by turning the paper to start my wreath layout. Once the card was finished, I then prepped for the swap. Wanting a little pattern on my card front, I used a 1″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Designer Series Paper from the new Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper. I was able to use a 2″ circle punch for the sentiment in the stamp set and layer it with the Starburst Punch. Finishing up the card, I placed a Blueberry Bushel ribbon. When I thought I was finished, I felt one more thing would help. I added 3 Sprig punches and placed them under the sentiment.
A closer look:
I really enjoy working with specific color combinations. Have you ever tried it? I did not think I would have selected this trio, however, I love the outcome. I hope you do too!! Please leave a comment, I would love the feed back! The holiday catalog goes live in 2 days on September 5th! Be sure to order your items off your wish list! All the products I used are listed below for an easy reference.
Onto the next creation!
It’s time for you to see the other creations in this month’s blog hop. I hope each one inspires you to try this color combination with one of your favorite stamps!
Happy Stampin’
