Holiday Card Club featuring Stylish Christmas Stamp Set
Before I left for Alaska, I created two of the 4 cards needed for my July Holiday Card Club. I knew for the class all 4 cards would include the Stylish Christmas Stamp Set. As I sat down to create the final two, I had a little creative block. Does that ever happen to you? With a little trial and error, I finished the 2 note cards! Here are the last 2 cards for July’s Holiday Card Club featuring the Stylish Christmas Stamp Set.
Note Card #1
Each month I design 2 full size cards and 2 note cards. I like to challenge myself sometimes when I design for a class and I did this month for sure. Having completed the full size cards, I decided to create one note card per color combination. In note card #1 I used the same colors from my Alaska Incentive Trip Card Swap. I used several of the stamps to create my background added some ribbon and attached to the note card. I love the Season’s Greeting Stamp and took a scrap of Whisper White card stock (1″ x 4 3/4″) and stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot in the center. Added some of the holly leaves in Mossy Meadow and the snowflakes before I bordered it onto the Mossy Mossy Meadow Card Stock. (1 1/4″ x 4 3/4″) In class, many thought it was Designer Series Paper but as you can see, it just good old stamping!
Note Card #2
Note Card #2 featured the color combination of Call Me Clover, Crumb Cake and Poppy Parade. I embossed the layering piece in the new Tufted Embossing Folder and added Poppy Parade Ribbon on the one side. Stamped directly onto a Stitched Shape Circle so there was no fussy cutting, made it a quick note card for members to complete. The center of the poinsettia needed a little blog, so adding a few rhinestones did the trick! The Peach was stamped on scrap paper (do you love when you actually use the scrap paper you are hoarding!) and I made a quick banner cut before attaching to my card. All the cards were unique yet they worked so well together showing you how versitile owning one stamp set can be!
