Next month you all know what is coming…Valentine’s Day!  I need to step it up and get creative with some love cards.  My Bloomin’ Love Card is the first Valentine’s Day card I created this year.  I am sure there will be a few more.

Bloomin’ Love Card:

Not much to write about this lovely heart card.  I think it speaks for itself.  Created with several Stampin’ Up! products from the annual catalog, it came out just as I had envisioned.  It’s been awhile since I took out my Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set and coordinating Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits.  I knew I wanted a little rustic feel and the Burlap Ribbon was the perfect touch to the card.  The Gold Faceted Gems blended well with the Crumb Cake.  I had tried pearls but it didn’t give it the look I wanted.

Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits:

The large detailed heart was run through the Big Shot before I stamped the background with the Hardwood Stamp Set.  The heart has a lot of detail to it that I highly recommend using the Precision Plate followed by the Big Shot Brush. The brush helps remove the TINY pieces.  The Paper-Piercing Tool is also helpful.

Finishing up:

I took my Stampin’ Sponge and used crumb cake to edge the heart with color as well as the layering Crumb Cake layer.  The shading added depth to the card.  I know it is hard to tell from the photo but it really does look so much better in person!  I lightly used liquid glue and placed the heart back into the Crumb Cake layer.  Stamped a few flowers in Cherry Cobbler and used dimensionals to pop them on the heart.  The Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set has a few greetings to use but of course Love You was my top pick.  I love using one stamp set to complete a card (minus the background stamp.)

Time to Create:

January is moving so fast and soon February will be here.  Break out the hearts, love you, the pink and red colors and start creating you Valentine’s Cards for those special people in your life.

Happy Stampin’
