Merry Little Christmas Thank You Cards
Thank you cards are pretty much a staple in my card collection. We need them for numerous things. Maybe someone did a nice a thing, maybe someone bought you that unexpected gift, maybe someone just went out of their way to help you. Whatever the reason, sending a thank you card is always a welcome surprise. Today’s card features just that, however, I am using up my Holiday Designer Series to create them. Take a look at the Merry Little Christmas Thank You Cards!
Move Me Thinlits:
After I colored the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper with the brayer, I knew I needed a WOW element. I am a big fan of butterflies and in the Annual Catalog, you will find these amazing butterflies in the thinlit collection. I love the detail, love the solid colored background behind the outlined butterfly. It definitely finished my card. The Move Me thinlits are part of the You Move Me Bundle and provide a really cool effect when used with other thinlits in the collection. The Home Office Video provides all the details on this awesome bundle.
Have you tried the Sponge Brayer offered in the Annual Catalog? For $8 you receive 2 handles and 4 sponges. The sponges can be rinsed to use with other colors. However, I use one sponge per color. I created several of the cards featuring 2 colors on each card. When I overlapped the colors, I love how a purple shade appeared. I didn’t see much of a change with the Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango. The designer series paper came from the Merry Little Christmas Pack. The paper is actually black with white and the brayer colors the white part of it.
You can see the pattern in the bottom row that I choose to brayer from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper Pack. Several of the patterns can be used to create beautiful cards.
In the picture below, provided by Stampin’ Up!, brayering over pattern paper is super easy!
Same technique on NEW product!
This past November at OnStage I swapped cards with fellow Event Council Members. My Product Spotlight was on the NEW Petal Passion Suite. Short on time to create, I remembered how easy using the sponge brayer was. I quickly grabbed my ink colors and the NEW Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and started to brayer. You can see that when I overlapped the Daffodil Delight with the Tempting Turquoise, a green color formed! Bright and cheery cards for my fellow council members. The Petal Passion Palette Bundle was used for the flowers and the sentiment.
