It’s August 8th and we are celebrating a very special birthday in my home. Today is my oldest son’s 18th birthday. I am not quite sure how this happened as I still remember him in my belly or when he was in his harness for hip dysplasia or when he knocked out his tooth on the slide, or so many memories come flooding back. I am thankful I have scrapbooked his life. I may not scrapbook as often but Kyle definitely has many books to look through. In honor of Kyle birthday, here is a cute Happy Birthday Card. Happy Birthday to you!

I saw a similar birthday card and had to make my own. Using the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, it truly met my expectations when the card was complete. Vibrant in color, this paper pack does not disappoint. I love how both cards, made from the SAME pack of Designer Series Paper, look completely different! I normally do NOT mix patterns but I went with it. No doubt I questioned myself and flipped the paper a few times, however, I am glad I left it mismatched. What do you think? I am looking forward to putting the card in the mail to wish someone a Happy Birthday!
Measurements for the tri-fold card
- Cut card base 4 1/4″ x 11″
- With the 11″ across the top, score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″
- Layering card stock 4 x 5 1/4″
- Designer Series Paper 2 1/2 x 4
Not complicated to duplicate, I am hoping you will try to create your own ti-fold card. I would love to see one if you do!
A closer look at one of my favorite colors…Lemon Lime Twist!
When I saw several of the patterns had Lemon Lime Twist, I knew I had to run with it. I love how the color pops. Here it is partnered with Emerald Green from our 2016-2018 In Colors. I wish I could narrow down my favorite color combination, however, I have too many! Equally pretty, is the pairing of Night of Navy with Berry Burst. Endless possibilities!
Thoughtful Banners with the Duet Banner Punch:
It’s been a while since I reached for this oldie but goodie stamp set and punch. I tend to stick with the stamp set I am using, which lately has included words within the set.
