Each month at our team meeting, we have a card swap among team members.  A theme is chosen and announced prior to the next meeting.  The theme was to create any card with a current bundle.  For my August Team Meeting Card Swap,  I chose the new Eastern Beauty Bundle.

Here’s a closer look at the Eastern Beauty Bundle.  Do you see all the Eastern Medallions Thinlits!  Layered or apart, each create a unique embellishment to your project.  Be sure you experiment with all the pieces.  What is neat about the thinlits, some only provide a mid-cut into the paper.  It creates a nice layering piece, almost like a 3D effect.

August Team Meeting Card Swap, the small details:

I am loving this year’s In Colors.  I especially am fond of the new Lemon Lime Twist.  It is such a different color!  I absolutely love the contrast it has with Dapper Denim.  It truly pops and make my card a stunner!  I was short on time heading into our Team Meeting and I did not want to miss participating in our monthly swap.  I love receiving cards from my downline, so I knew my card had to be simple.  Yes simple, but it was well liked by all.  PLUS, I was able to make 14 cards from one piece of 12 x12 Designer Series Paper.  I listed the measurements under the photo. 🙂

Measurements for my card:

• Cut card base 4 1/4″ x 11″
• Cut layering piece (Dapper Denim) 4″ x 5 1/4″
• Cut layering piece (Very Vanilla) 3 3/4″ x 5″
• Cut Designer Series Paper (Eastern Palace Speciality Paper) 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ for the vertical card (you can cut for 12 vertical cards from one piece of paper.  Cut paper 2 1/2″ x 12″ then with the 12″ along the top, cut into 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ pieces)
• With the left over 2″ piece you can create 2 horizontal cards with the Designer Series Paper 2″ x 5″

I wanted to share the card swaps from my team for August.  Again, the theme was to use any current bundle!  Do you love the variety!  Several different bundles shown!

An added bonus, we were able to get a quick picture of those who made it to our meeting.  Summer is a busy time of year here for many of us.  Our Gigi, looking beautiful and staying strong during her fight against cancer.  It was a fun night. (Please excuse my messy crafty room, I plan on cleaning it up soon!!!)
