Each and every day someone is celebrating their birthday! It’s usually a happy occasions filled with love, laughter, cake and hopefully PRESENTS! I know my children love when it is their birthday because they love to open gifts. In the new annual catalog, Stampin’ Up! introduced a product suite called Birthday Memories. It truly is perfect to help celebrate someone’s special day!
Birthday Memories Suite:
In one month, my oldest son will be turning 18. It seems hard to believe he is this “old.” I still remember having 3 due dates for him which I think my OB did so I would just relax and let labor happen. Last year, we had a quiet celebration for his birthday with dinner at mimi and pop-pop’s followed by a boat ride. Kyle loves all things baseball as you can see by his Mitt Carvel Cake. I chose the Birthday Memories Suite to highlight a few pictures. He has the best smile.
The Layout:
I tend to make double page layouts, but short on pictures from his birthday, one page did the trick. You will see I like to follow a box pattern. It’s sort of a puzzle or even a grid in seeing where I can place pictures and then embellishment around them. I take A LOT of pictures and I want to get as many as I can onto a page. Keeping measurements easy makes page creating faster.
The Product:
As can see the Birthday Delivery Stamp Set has an assortment of words that work perfectly in Oval and Circle Framelits. The Birthday Friends Framelits, work with the stamp set as well as the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. It is so cool how the framelits match to the patterns on the paper! No fussy cutting!!
On my page, I did have to fussy cut a few of the animals as there was no framelit to match. Each pattern is unique. Some of the patterns are nostalgic. The little girl reminds me of the Campbell Soup drawings or Shirley Temple.
