As I thought about my upcoming classes this month, I knew my focus was going to be on In Colors 2017-2019. I have seen several cards using the Large Letters Framelits and they inspired me to create my own. Granted, I recently made a “GRAD” card which you will find as you scroll this post using the framelits. However, let’s focus on the cards for today’s post. One thing for sure, the Large Letters Framelits make it simple to create!
XOXO Large Letters Framelits:
Creating love cards are usually popular during Valentine’s season. I know it’s June and it is graduation season, I wanted to make a love card. I chose XOXO and cut them out with the Large Letters Framelits in Whisper White. I was previously working on a card for my Happy Birthday Card Club using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set, that I decided to use it here too! The small flowers I stamped in the NEW In Colors Berry Burst and Powder Pink. The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz.
Cutting the Layers:
- card base 4 1/4″ x 11′, score at 5 1/2″
- Whisper White card stock 41/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Pear Pizzazz card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
- layering Whisper White card stock 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
- layering Berry Burst card stock 2 5/8″ x 5 1/4″
As you can see I stamped the letters with the stamps from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set. The stamp set offers a VARIETY of stamps and not necessarily all for birthday! I just made a graduation card and used the “It’s Your Day” to complete! It is the graduate’s day!
Interested in another option? On 5/27, I posted a few graduation cards to share.
Lastly, one more option!
I posted my card this morning on Instagram and it dawned on me, why not make a Father’s Day card! Using the same concept, I switched out the In Colors to more of a masculine combination and in NO TIME, I have a Father’s Day Card! WOO HOO!! I love showing how simple taking one concept and switching out the colors changes the whole look. It took me longer to take the picture than to complete the card! I used the same stamp set. My class will be making one of each card this week!
The color combination of Tranquil Tide, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist is looking pretty good to me!
I hope you feel inspired by my Large Letters Framelits Cards. I had a lot of fun creating them and looking forward to sharing them with my class this week. My class schedule is a bit light this month. (I need to update My Events page.) My oldest is graduating High School and my youngest is moving up to Middle School. There are A LOT of end of year activities that I don’t want to miss. I am crafting in my spare time and I will be sharing, Just like the Stampin’ Up! logo states…Inspire.Create.Share.®
Don’t forget the NEW CATALOG went live on June 1st! If you haven’t looked at the new catalog, here’s the PDF, Annual Catalog 2017-2018.
