Spent part of my day creating another card with the Beautiful You Stamp Set. I made several due to making a video! Yes, I made a video showing how I created the background. I will say, my assistant was here and she witnessed first hand my video production. I did the whole video, up loaded to Youtube to find once again it had no sound! I started again, was just about to wrap it up and my oldest son walked in asking me questions! Let’s try one more time…I finally got it 🙂 There is no wrong in art, making an extra card always comes in handy! Do you love the pop of red in the card? Using Basic Gray, Soft Sky, Smoky Slate and Real Red is not a normal color combination for me but I really wanted the girl to stand out. I stamped the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack with the Umbrella Girl stamp from the Beautiful You Stamp Set. The stack of paper has 16 patterns, it wasn’t easy to pick.
This is what I started with before I redesigned the card. The girl got lost on the bigger piece of paper. But I am happy I took the picture. Can you see how the mask shows on the stamp? The mask, I stamped on scrap paper and then cut her out as close to the lines as possible.
I made the card on this video…hope you find it helpful.
From the video you will see I use several items to create the card. All products are listed at the bottom of this post. It was a fun card to make and I look forward to using the background on other projects. Here are the two main stamps used on the card.
