With many products to choose some, picking one item to focus on is sometimes hard! I am NOT complaining, I absolutely LOVE the products from Stampin’ Up! The problem I have is finding enough time to create all that I want! I have wanted to add a club to my business and in January, I started my Happy Birthday Card Club! Each member receives 8 (4 designs) Happy Birthday Cards per month for a monthly membership fee! It has been AWESOME creating birthday cards! I have plenty of ideas so I am LOVING sharing with club members and everyone!
Fortunately for you and me, Stampin’ Up! sells packages of note cards in either Crumb Cake or Whisper White. Reasonable priced, you receive 20 in a package with envelopes! PLUS, they can be mailed – they are not too small!!! WOO HOO! The note card measures 3 1/2″ x 5.” I often use them in my Stamp-A-Stack Classes. The prep time is cut drastically! On my dragonfly note card, I decided to pair it with 2 Sale-a-bration Items, Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper and 6×6 Assorted Glimmer Paper Pack. When using Designer Series Paper on note cards, if the pattern allows you can get up to 10 background sheet (3″ x 4 1/2″.) The trick, layer the note card with card stock first, in this case the Basic Black Card Stock is cut 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″. By doing this, you can cut the DSP by 3″ across to layer the card stock!
One of my downlines called the other day asking about our white embossing powder. She was embossing on black and had a quick question. Thank you Christine, it has been A LONG time since I embossed on black card stock. I used my embossing buddy to help with the static on the paper before applying the powder. I chose only the saying to emboss because it created enough of a WOW factor for me! I really didn’t want to out shine the glimmer dragonfly. Add some ribbon to tie in the colors and you can see my finished project. A rather fast card to complete!
Have you seen the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle? I only used the Detailed Dragon Thinlits on the card, but the thinlits are available separately or if you purchase the bundle you save yourself 10%! I have a tip for when you use the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit and glimmer paper. Start at a corner and begin to separate the backing off the glimmer paper. This will make it a lot easier to cut with the big shot!
