When I first saw the Cool Treats bundle, I thought it was cute. Perfect set for summer cards or scrap book pages. From ice pops, to popsicles, to ice cream cones, to ice cream sundaes, the possibilities of creating your favorite treat can be endless! The sundae card is the 2nd of 3 cards I designed over the weekend. Instead of pairing the set with the coordinating Tasty Treats Speciality Designer Series Paper, I decided to use the Cupcake and Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack. I love the look of the diamonds and the colors in this pack!
The card has the basic set up of an embossing folder added for texture, designer series paper for some color, ribbon because it’s my favorite embellishment, a banner for the words and lastly a focal point! The focal point for this particular card I chose to use the layering circle framelits and place a sundae on it. If you look closely, I used clear embossing powder over the Early Espresso card stock to make it look like hot fudge. It was a bit tricky but I like the shiny result on the card. I tried to take a closer picture for you to see. Some of the powder did get on the “ice cream” but it’s ok. It is art and no art is perfect! What do you think????
There are several products in this adorable, fun Cool Treats Suite. If you click on the picture it will bring you to my online store of goodies.
