Color Fusers Blog Hop January 2026

Happy New Year! I was very happy to welcome the new year. The highlight of my year was getting back to Naples. Florida. It had been quite some time that I went and stayed at our family place. Now that the new year is here, I have new goals to conquer. Do you as well? I find having a written list, I am better at staying on task. For December, I wanted to create this month’s project early and I did just that! However, I fell short writing the post. It’s past midnight and I am making my post. Maybe next month I will accomplish creating early AND making my post not on the day due. Regardless, the Color Fuses Blog Hop January 2026 is ready to go and I hope you love the palette of colors and projects created.

My project:

So I have a small confession, I didn’t have any gold foil! I searched high and low, went through all my papers, not one piece of gold. With some creative thinking, I added GOLD embossing to my project. I apologize for using Gold foil on my project which definitely would of changed the look. However, the small detail of gold embossing powder really makes the card pop. I used Stampin’ Set Simply Beautiful.

The Details:

• Cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
• Score at 4 1/4″
• Cut basic white 4″ x 5 1/4″
• Emboss card stock with your favorite folder
• Using your embossing buddy, tap across the card stock before stamping image with Versa Mark
• Stamp image, sprinkle embossing powder and then heat
• Repeat the embossing buddy, stamping with versa mark for your sentiment
• Fussy cut the sentiment
• Cut paper into 1 3/4″ squares, you need 2 per card
• Cut the same color to layer the embossed square 2″ x 2″
• Die Cut floral image and leaves in this month’s color palette
• Using blending brushes, edge the images to give some definition and texture to the flower
• Assemble card as shown
• Add bow
