Color Fusers Blog Hop August 2025 is here! How is that even possible? The month’s are just going by so fast! I just wrapped up my Summer Stampin’ Retreat and I am so happy I had a moment to create not one but two cards for this month’s hop. Believe it or not, I almost skipped it thinking I wouldn’t have time, however, a little break in the event and 2 cards were quickly created! Want to see? Just keep reading!

My Projects:

With this color combination, I thought sunflowers. The Sunflower Embossing folder was recently added to our online collection. I paired it with Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. How did I make the magic happen on the sunflower folder? Using a Stampin’ Spot, I used the inverted side of the embossed and swirled the Basic Gray ink over the image. With creating this technique, I noticed using a fabric pad over a foam pad yielded better results, as well as you a circular motion over the Basic White Card Stock.

The Details:

Grab your trimmer and get started.

Cut card base 4 1/4″ x11″
Score at 5 1/2′
Cut Basic Gray card stock 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and 5 1/4 x 2 1/4″
Cut Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″ and 5 1/4″ x 2″
Emboss the larger basic white card stock with your favorite folder
Emboss the smaller basic white card stock with the Sunflower folder
Use a fabric pad (spot or memento) and swirk ink over the card stock
Add ribbon
Add sentiment
Finish with embellishments

Using Two-Toned 12 x12 paper emboss your folder. Taking a sanding block (similar to the one in the nail salon) and in a circular motion, sand over the the popped up side of the embossing paper. Fun card to create if short on time.
