Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2024

The month of love which translates into the colors of red, pink, hot pink and maybe a little lavender. Well that is not the case for Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2024. Going away from the traditional colors with this color combination. I for one would have never thought of pairing these 4 colors for a project. But here I am and I will say, after working with them, I like the combination.

My Projects:

I always like to showcase more than one project when it’s using the color fuser color combination. It challenges me because usually they are colors I would never think to put together. Sure, I use the color combinations off the Desiger Series Paper, but this monthly blog I truly enjoy because I have no baseline to start. PLUS, I love seeig what the others come up with! I created two cards with hearts and had several left over. Great use of this die if you are mass producing! I have my retreat coming up and need a little gift box for them to create and I said, what about these adorable hearts on a square pillow box! What do you think? Will they like it?

The Details on the cards:

Grab your supplies and let us create. I am all about keeping projects simple so you will duplicate them!!!

• cut card stock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
• score at 4 1/4″
• cut layering piece 4″ x 5 1/4″
• cut basic white 3 3/4″ x 5″
• using 1/2″ scraps create the diagonal or vertical strips for your card. I prefer the diagonal but i always like to give options. Look at picture for reference. I use a 1/2″ strip to cover on the diagonal before I placed my ribbon.
• stamp sentiment
• emboss hearts and then using the coordinating dies, die cut the hearts
• assemble as shown

Pillow Box:

This took about 5-10 min to complete!

• assemble the pillow box
• take 2″ x 11″ card stock and wrap pillow box (not on the opening)
• punch out 2 3/8″ circle for covering where the card stock meets on top
• create a focal point
• using the hearts, I adhered with dimensionals
• stamped sentiment from the kit
• assembled as shown
• quick and easy and I still have hearts to spare!
