Color Fusers Blog Hop September 2023

Hello September! That means…summer is coming to a close and it is time for school to start! Believe it or not my youngest will be starting his senior year in high school. This is it! I can not believe how fast it has gone! However, let us get back to business. It’s Color Fusers Blog Hop September 2023 day and I am sure you want to know the colors as well as the project! Well, I can say, I had a little fun with the color combination and the NEW Autumn Leaves Bundle. The bundle will be available to purchase in the next few days and I truly mean it, YOU NEED IT!

My details:

Lost Lagoon, Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss are our color choices this month. This color palatte is easy on the eyes and MANY stamp sets could of brought the 3 colors to life. I choose a new stamp bundle, Autumn Leaves. It started with 2 cards, then 4 then eventually 6! I just was having fun.

Card #1:

With card #1, I choose 2 masks to create my background paper. I bet you’re shocked I didn’t use paper strips like I normally do. Can’t lie, a customer of mine sent me a video showing me the mask technique. I knew I had to try it and I chose this month to highlight it! It’s a rather simple process, however, a little messy on the hands. NO MATTER what I do Blackberry Bliss is always EVERYWHERE! Does it happen to you with a certain color?

  • cut card stock 8 1/2″ x 11″
  • score at 4 1/4″
  • cut layering piece 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • basic white card stock 3 3/4″ X 5′
  • list of directions is posted below for the mask technique
  • add ribbon
  • stamp sentiment
  • die cut leaves
  • assemble card as shown

Card #2

It’s my go to, the Bonnie fold. It just is a simple card fold that I can easily create with. After numberous attempts with the blending brushes, I couldn’t let the patterns go without making a few cards. Using different dies from the bundle, I created card #2.

  • cut card stock 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • score at 5 1/2″
  • cut off 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ off card base
  • trim basic white 4″ x 5 1/4″ and two 2 1/2″ x 4″
  • stamp sentiment
  • adhere the ribbon
  • die cut the leaves
  • asemble as shown

Card #3

Lastly, one card without the masking but some simple stampin and a few die cuts. What I love about the Color Fuser Blog Hop is showing more than one sample with the color combination. It challenges me to share with you different projects using your investment. Do you have a favorite of the 3 designs?

  • cut card stock 8 1/2″ x 11″
  • score at 4 1/4″
  • cut layering piece 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • emboss with your favorite embossing folder
  • stamp sentiment and sentiment
  • using the dies, cut the leaves as shown
  • add pearls and ribbon
  • assemble card as shown

Time to hop!

Well I kind over did but did i really? I’m happy to share with you all the cards I created with this month’s Color Fusers Blog Hop. As I create, I can’t seem to part with mistakes or trials, so they wind up being examples for me to share. Next up is Melanie which I am sure will not disappoint. Head backwards if you wish to see Sue’s post which I bet is another hidden gem for you to see!  Good luck to everyone heading back to school this week! My supplies are listed below for easy reference. Enjoy!
