Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2023
Hello everyone! What weekend we are having here in the northeast…it’s been raining! April showers definitely better bring May flowers! We should be blessed with a beautiful garden of flowers. LOL With all the rain, you would think I would be ahead of schedule with my post. NOPE, right down to the last minute. I don’t know why I do this but every month, on the last day I am creating. Let’s see what I came up with for the Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2023.
My project:
One of the perks for being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, you get to preorder from the new catalog before it is released. The first thing I purchased was the new collection of In Colors. I purchased a few bundles as well but I really wanted to have everything in the In Color Collection. For my project, I chose an older stamp set, Biggest Wish, because my priority was to highlight the colors not the stamp. The new In Color Designer Series paper includes 4 designs and I am showcasing 2 of them. A rather simple card, however, it shows off the colors which was my focus.
The Details:
I chose the Pebbled Path for my card base because I liked the contrast. The ribbon for this ink collection is a new FAVORITE! Can you see it! It has a small texture to it and you can see I need sharper scissors! Grab your paper trimmer and let’s create some cards!
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- cut Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″
- cut DSP 1″ x 3 1/2″
- adhere strips to card as shown
- attach coordinating ribbon
- die cut from Stylish Shapes a square and a banner
- stamp sentiments with your choice of ink
- add coordinating gems
- cut a piece of matching card stock to the card base 1 1/2″ x 2 3/4″
- cut a piece of card stock 1/2″ x 4″
- adhere sentiment as shown

How about that! I finished and I am posting and it’s not midnight! Hopefully, you enjoyed looking through my cards. I always try to mix it up to show you two styles and I hope I succeeded.
