Color Fusers Blog Hop April 2023
Hello! It is spring so they say, I say it’s still a bit too chilly for me! I can’t wait for the warmer sunshine and longer days! In the meantime, I am planning my next project, my next class, my next retreat! Stampin’ Up! is so fabulous in giving us numerous ways to share our creativity. ESPECIALLY with this blog hop! I love the creativity that unfolds each month from all the talented demonstrators. Let’s take a look at the Color Fuser Blog Hop April 2023 color combination! The three colors are all bright and cheery that I am sure you will love each and every project!
My project:
Short on time, I decided why not create 3 cards featuring the color combination for this month’s blog hop. Sometimes I just run with it and other times I sit there and wait for a miracle to happen. I hope you find the 3 cards an inspiration to make one or two or all three.
Card #1
The first attempt with the colors I decided it had been a while since I used baby wipes and reinkers to create my ink pad. I love how it came out. To create the “ink pad” fold your baby wipe into a square big enough to fit the image of the stamp. Then take each reinker and add drops. I tend to leave a small space in between each color. Then take your stamp and blot over the baby wipe. Then stamp on to paper. You can use the baby wipe several times before you will need to redo to continue stamping.
Card #2
Card #2 features a few things – embossing, simple stamping and die cuts. I stamped the same stamp from Eden’s Garden in Polished Pink and then took two of the others stamps from the set to create the die cut circles. One is larger than the other. I adhered them on the embossed card stock with dimensionals, stamped a sentiment and then of course added a bow! We all know I love ribbon!!!! The Coastal Cababa die cut piece came from the coordinating dies for the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set. I felt it was the perfect add on to the card.
Card #3
The last card was my original thought. Stamp the images on 1″ card stock and create what I have. However, it wasn’t coming together when I first approached it so I put it to the side and then came back to it. I couldn’t figure out what was making me not finish it. Do you have that happen to you? I took the Eden Die Cuts and used the frame for the sentiment as a focal point. I love the addition of the ribbon and the iridescent jewels to finish the card.
Time to hop!
I hope you enjoyed reading through my post. Of course, I was last minute but I always have fun creating with specific colors! I love the challenge each month wondering if I would pick the combination without any guidance. It’s time for you to hop through the other blogs to see what demonstrators have to share. My supplies are listed at the bottom. Have fun hopping and of course, if something catches your eye, leave a comment. We love feedback!
Happy Stampin!
