Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2022
Hello February, coming in rather cold that I am ready to head somewhere warm! However, it’s best I stay put and do some crafting! I am super excited to share my project with you. This particular color combination for the Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2022 is one I have never worked with and it truly makes me want to create!
My Project:
I had a few ideas but they all didn’t work once I got started. BUT after trial and error, here’s my card. It’s never fun or ideal to create sympathy cards but they are a necessity. I found myself at peace when I was finished.
How to create the two-toned look!
Grab your supplies and let’s get started!
- 2 ink pads, 2 sponge daubers, Basic White Card Stock 2 1/2″ x 5″, stamp
- ink stamp with Pool Party ink pad (picture 2)
- using a sponge dauber in Misty Moonlight, daube the edge of the stamp set (picture 3)
- using a sponge dauber in Pool Party, daube the center to make darker if desired (picture 4)
- turn over stamp and press onto Basic White Card Stock (picture 5)
- clean stamp and repeat to create another image

picture 2 – ink stamp with Pool Party
picture 3 – sponge dauber Misty Moonlight along the edges of stamp
picture 4 – add Pool Party if you desire a darker center with a sponge dauber
picture 5 – the finished product!
The Final Details:
Now that you have completed the main image, let’s finish the card.
- cut card base 4 1/4″ x 11″
- score at 5 1/2″
- cut layering piece 4″ x 5 1/4″
- emboss with your favorite folder
- on a 1″ piece of Calypso Coral, stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight
- add baker’s twine
- assemble as shown
