Color Fusers Blog Hop December 2019 with Blends
My third card for the Color Fusers Blog Hop December 2019 with Blends is featured below. You may notice, I eliminated one of the colors. Not that I wanted too, but currently, Stampin’ Up! does not have a Stampin’ Blend in Blueberry Bushel. However, Smoky Slate and Seaside Spray worked perfectly together with a touch a Silver Glimmer Paper. The end result did not disappoint.
Lots of Cheer!
I choose to do some color blocking to incorporate the colors featured this month. The In Color Designer Series Paper Pack worked great in the middle to off set the solid colors. I used the Layering Square Dies to die cut the Silver Glimmer Paper. Do you love the touch of the ribbon? That has a little sparkle in it too! I really love how the card turned out and it would be very easy to use this layout for any occasion by simply changing the stamped image!
The Details:
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- cut Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4″ AND 3 3/4″ x 5″ (use this for the strips of paper)
- cut strips of Smoky Slate, Seaspray Spray 1 5/8″ x 3 3/4″
- for the DSP, cut 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
- die cut the Layering Scallop Square and the Stitched Shape Square
- stamp image in Black Memento Ink
- color with Stampin’ Blends
- assemble card as shown, add RIBBON before you place onto card base
- stamp sentiment in lower right hand corner in Smoky Slate
To place the strips of card stock, I start with the two outside pieces and then the DSP goes last filling in the gap. I added Wink of Stella to both focal points for more sparkle.
