Z-Fold Card for Mother’s Day
Last-Chance Products really has me thinking. I look at the list of items and grab the items that catch my eye right away. In this case, the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper was in the hot seat! I knew I had to create something with the BEAUTIFUL pattern paper. Not going to lie, it has FABULOUS patterns to choose for springtime projects. Let’s take a look at the Z-Fold Card for Mother’s Day!
The Details!
What to create your own Z Fold Card? Grab your trimmer and we can start. Once you make one, this layout I have a feeling will be used over and over!
Card Base:
- cut card base 4 1/4″ x 11″
- score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″
- emboss with the Basket Weave EF (You will run it through 2 times. As you can see in the picture, I only emboss part of the card. I left the middle section smooth.)
- tie ribbon and finish with a bow (Use a Mini Glue Dot under bow to keep in place.)
Z Fold:
- cut Whisper White Card Stock 3″ x 8 3/4″
- score at 3″ and 5 3/4″
- cut layering card stock 3 1/4″ x 9″
- score at 3 1/8″ x 5 7/8″
- cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″
- die cut Layering Scallop Circle framelit and Stitched Shapes Circle Frameilt
To attach the Z-fold, fold it flat. Turn over and place adhesive on 1/2 of the piece on the card stock that will have the completed Daisy Punch. Place onto the flap and press into place. Add adhesive to the bottom part of the Z-fold piece. Fold card flat and press the bottom of the Z-fold to the card base. The card can open to the left or right as I have shown in the pictures above. Have fun using up your Designer Series Paper! Remember, add the Daisy to the front to complete the card.
Still time!
The sentiment and the stamps used on the circle framelit are from the April Paper Pumpkin Kit, Sentimental Rose. I loved the Happy Mother’s Day stamp and felt it was perfect for the cards. The May kit has been designed with Shelli’s input and it is one you will definitely want! Soft colors, 12 cards (4 designs to complete 3 cards of each!) exclusive stamp set, plus all the supplies needed to complete the project. Additional supplies needed are a clear block and scissors! The special printed box as you can see in the picture is very springy! Join today, as May 10th is the last day to join or reactivate your account to receive the May kit.
Weeks flying by!

These cards are very pretty!! I love the colors you used and how you designed it using the embossing folder, too. Beautiful work!

I found that it works better to score the base at 6 1/2 instead of 5 1/2.
