Amazing Life April Card Club #2
Night of Navy is one of my favorite colors. Anything reminding me of nautical items, is a favorite. Night of Navy paired with Calypso Coral makes a wonderful combination. I fell in love with the card the moment it all came together. Amazing Life April Card Club #2 is a keeper.
The Details:
I wanted to make the card a little different. It is amazing that a simple cut changes the front of the card. I decided to trim off an inch from the top flap of the card so that the bottom layer (inside of the card) would be exposed. By doing this, I added a strip (1″ x 5 1/4″) of Designer Series Paper (Happiness Blooms) to the exposed part. Do you have a lot of scraps? I know I do and using a small part of it, makes me smile!
Card Measurements:
Grab your trimmer and let’s get our supplies ready to stamp and assemble!
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- with the 8 1/2″ along the top of the trimmer, cut 1″ x 5 1/2″ from one end
- cut Whisper White 3″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″
- die cut the second smaller Stitched Shape Circle Framelit
- punch 2″ Night of Navy circle
- punch one Starburst punch in Calypso Coral
Stamp sentiment and birthday cake in Night of Navy Ink. Lightly color with coordinating Stampin’ Blends. The Night of Navy Ink may bleed slightly, it’s ok. Just don’t over do it and it will look just right. There is no wrong in art!
