Stampers Dozen Blog Hop February 2019
A few years ago, Patty asked if I had a blog because she wanted me to join this particular blog hop. I did not but as soon as I had one designed, I quickly took her up on her offer and have loved being a part of Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. All her hard work in organizing it month after month and in a blink of an eye, it is celebrating it’s 5th anniversary this month! Let’s take a look at this month’s Stampers Dozen Blog Hop February 2019 creations.
NEW SALE-A-BRATION Items being released!
With the release of the new Sale-a-bration items on February 15th, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to showcase new product while celebrating the anniversary of the blog hop. I chose the new Painted Season Designer Series Paper with the Country Floral Embossing Folder. I love the colors showcased in the new paper pack and the combination of Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party has quickly become a favorite. Do you like the two colors together as well? Bring on spring, I am ready to leave winter behind!
A closer look:
I cut the Designer Series Paper 3 3/4″ x 5″ and then placed it in my Stampin’ Trimmer on a diagonal to get the triangle shape. I cut Whisper White (4″ x 5 1/4″) and did the same cut. Layering it over the embossed cards stock worked so well. Because I always like to show a variation, I had to use both colors which resulted in using 2 ribbons. The sentiment comes from the Occasions Catalog Birthday Cheer Stamp Set. I am a BIG fan of stacked words and this worked perfectly for my card. From the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set, I stamped the leaf image on the sentiment to fill in some of the white space. Overall, the card makes me smile.

Love these 2 cards… great technique of diagonal cutting.
I needed a change of pace so why not cut on a diagonal 🙂 I love how they turned out – such bright colors!
I love the colors on these cards. I like, also, that you show two different versions of the cards (but then I can never decide which one is my favorite)! Keep up the great work! Your cards are always so pretty, and I like the diagonal cuts on these ones.
