Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2019

February, the month of love.  I think of it as that due to Valentine’s Day but really any time through out the year can be about love.  The first Monday of the month is here and it’s time for the Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2019 featuring Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Early Espresso, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Meant to Be for the Hop!

My last class of in January needed one more card to complete it.  I decided I wanted to use the color combination for a Valentine’s Card.  I pulled out the colors as well as the Meant to Be Bundle.  Staring at it for a bit,  inspiration finally set in.  Working with one bundle and the additional square framelits, the card turned out pretty well!  What do you think?  I wasn’t used to combining Basic Black with Early Espresso but in the end it all came together.

Card Details:

• cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
• score at 4 1/4″
• cut layering card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
• cut a piece of card stock
• emboss with the Tufted Embossing Folder

I stamped in the sentiment in Memento Black but I think the Early Espresso would work just as well.  I added a few of the elements from the Be Mine Framelits to create a fun focal point.  The Layering Square Framelit piece works well straight or turned slightly.  My class loved creating this Valentine’s Day Card.
