Merry Christmas Framed Art
One of my favorite items to create is a framed art piece. I have made quite a few and I am looking forward to the next one as soon as I finish one. Stampin’ Up! makes creating framed art or samplers easy because many products coordinate with one another. Although I skipped sharing my Fall Framed Art (I will post it soon!) today’s post features my Merry Christmas Framed Art.
Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper:
The first item I picked for my Merry Christmas Framed Art was the retiring Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper. At first I was unsure of the colors being on the “dark side” but once everything came together, I was extremely happy as were my customers!
Winter Woods:
Each 3″ x 3″ square I picked a different pattern (2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″.) I then made a rectangular (6 1/4″ x 3″) to house my “Merry Christmas” sentiment. I love how soft the trees from the Winter Woods. To make sure the trees lined up, the Stamparatus came in handy. By simply using it, each person had no problem with tree placement! YAY! On the Mossy Meadow Tree, I added some embossing paste with a palette knife to make it look like snow. Everyone loved the little detail!
Holiday Catalog:
From the picture, MANY products are from the Holiday Catalog 2018, YES, several of the items are retiring on January 2nd. Have you seen the retiring list of items? Besides ALL the bundle prices not going forward and HOLIDAY wood stamp sets, several of the embellishments are saying good-bye. If you haven’t looked at what is leaving, be sure to fill your cart from my store!
Holiday Bundles:
The following holiday bundles are in the holiday catalog and until January 2nd, purchasing the bundle saves you 10%! WOO HOO!
- Dashing Deer
- Merry Christmas to All
- Nothing Sweeter – just the stamp set is available, the Sweetly Stitched Framelits are sold out
- WInter Woods
Class Pictures:
I love snapping pictures as customers are creating at my classes. There are times I forget to snap a picture but I did remember for this class! Each person received Metallic Pearls to embellish their master piece. It was a fun night of crafting!
Making it Straight!
Often people comment, “how do you get the 3″ x 3″ squares to line up so nicely?” I admit, I used to mark my paper 1 1 /4″ inch down and across with a pencil mark. Then my friend, Elisa, suggested making squares for the corners. WOW, what a difference!
Inspire.Create.Share.
I hope my Merry Christmas Framed Art has inspired you to create your own. Several craft stores sell the 12″ x !2″ shadow boxes, you just need to get your holiday supplies before they are no longer available. My online store is open 24/7 and when you shop with me, I do send a surprise to you! Also, I would love to know if you create your own Merry Christmas Framed Art. To me, it is a wonderful compliment when I hear/see others create something I share. I hope you are enjoying your holiday season!
Happy Stampin’

Hi, Bonnie….
What a great sampler! I just love the tip for the 4 corners..GREAT idea! I have just begun researching ideas for this upcoming holiday season and discovered your masterpiece.
I have a few questions I hope you can help me out with….
What size is your frame?
What size are each if the little square samplers?
And where did you find your frame?
(Looking to create one with a group of friends for another creative gal who us moving away.)
TIA
the frames are all 12×12 – I find them at michaels either online or in the store. The squares are 3×3 and the spacers are 1 1/4″ let me know if you have any other questions.
