Making Christmas Bright Card #1

Time for another round of Holiday Card Club Cards! I have throughly enjoyed devoting one class per month to making Holiday Cards without stress. It started 5 months ago and each month I have focused on one to two stamp sets and one pack of Designer Series Paper. For November, I chose the Making Christmas Bright Bundle with the All is Bright Designer Series Paper for my cards. Let’s take a look at the Making Christmas Bright Card #1 from my class.

Traditional Christmas colors!

The All is Bright Designer Series Paper has some amazing patterns. I loved the light bulb pattern and knew it had to be placed on a card somehow. The color combination of Real Red and Shaded Spruce is always welcomed especially at Christmas time. I added a Gold Foil scalloped circle behind my sentiment to tie in all the colors in the paper. The new embossing folder, Swirls and Curls was the perfect texture for the layering card stock.

Small details!

I stamped the light bulbs in Real Read and Shaded Spruce. The top of the bulb is done in Crumb Cake. Once I had them punched, I added Wink of Stella for a little glimmer and with a stroke of a white gel pen, added the small detail onto the bulb. Simple but effective in finishing my Making Christmas Bright Card #1 which is ready to mail.
