Stampers Dozen Blog Hop October 2018

October 14th, really? The Fall Season is well under way here on the east coast with leaves changing, cooler weather, baseball ending and football season in high gear! It also means, it’s time for the next installment of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month, the theme is fall related projects. I love seeing the variety of projects. Winter Woods Stamp Set

I choose the Winter Woods Stamp Set for my project. It is in the holiday catalog and I completely over looked it until one of my downlines pointed it out to me. Many of the projects I have seen with the set have focused on “winter” projects. This is my second card where I used it for fall. One of my friends shared a similar version of this particular card and it inspired me to create my own with minimal changes. I love how each color turned out and of course, the color selection was based on which ribbon I had to coordinate. Truthfully, I could of just kept picking colors all day long!

Make Your Own Card?

The simple technique of masking is so fun! Sometimes I forget all about it! I cut a 3 3/4″ x 5 ” of Whisper White card stock and then with my Layering CIrcle Framelit (2 1/4″) created my mask. Placed it over another piece of Whisper White card stock of the same size, and then began to sponge the cut out. As you can see from the photos, as I applied the color, the circle filled with color. After I finished, I stamped the trees in Soft Suede directly onto the card stock.
