Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Papers meets Pop of Petals
Once again, Stampin’ Up! has created another Designer Series Paper that is oh so pretty! It’s almost a challenge to pick a pack of that I don’t like. I can’t seem to find one!!! Do you have that problem too? I am so happy I offer Designer Series Paper Packs to everyone so people can get their hands on all the paper and then decide which one they need more of. Pretty Patterns!
The Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper is part of the holiday catalog. It is suppose to be about winter but this paper is way to pretty with the color combinations for me to think holiday related projects. I love how all the elements completed my card. Often, I struggle with using a doily on my cards! I love how I off-centered the Designer Series Paper in order for both patterns can be shown. A quick add of some Pop of Petals flowers and I have the perfect card to send.
The Details:
Want to make this card? Here are the details:
- cut card base 4 1/4″ x 11″
- score at 5 1/2″
- cut layering piece (Mint Macaron) 4″ x 5 1/4″
- emboss with the Tufted Embossing Folder
- select 2 solid card stock pieces and cut 3″ x 4″ (Blackberry Bliss and Tranquil Tide)
- cut Designer Series Paper 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
Next step:
Using a sponge dauber, take the Blackberry Bliss ink and color the “matte” side of the pearlized doily. I found the pearlized size did not absorb the ink and smeared. The ribbon is wrapped around the front and bow is attached separately with a glue dot. The flowers are stamped in Blushing Bride and Blackberry Bliss. The leaves were created by punching a petal and then stamped the single leaf on each petal. After I sponge dauber the edges before attaching behind the flowers. Added a few Sprig punches and my card is complete! Imagine switching out the Designer Series Paper for a whole new look!
