Stampers Dozen Blog Hop September 2018
New month, new Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! YAY! I love being a part of blog hop with fellow demonstrators. WHY? I love seeing the creativity being shared with a specific theme. The Stampers Dozen Blog Hop September 2018 theme is anything from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog besides Christmas! Lucky for me, I knew exactly what I was going to share!
Falling for Leaves Fun Folded Card:
The inspiration for my card came from the 1″ x 10″ belly band. That is right, the polka dot print found on one of the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Pattern Paper. I would never of thought to pair Old Olive and Shaded Spruce together. However, I LOVE the out come, as did my customers in class.
As you can see, the fun folded card has a lot of stamping. FUN! I stamped along the edge for the inside as well as the card front. I wanted the belly band to stand out so leaving a gap of Very Vanilla around it makes it pop! Add some ribbon and it is complete!
The Details:
Let’s create the card!
- cut card base 4 1/4″ x 11″
- score with 11″ across the top at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″ (in the video I first said 1 1/4″ – sorry)
- cut Very Vanilla 4″ x 5 1/4″
- cut 2 Very Vanilla 2 1/2″ x 4″
Stamp the leaves in Old Olive along the top as shown on the 2 pieces of Very Vanilla. Then in the Shaded Spruce add the “berry” stamp. On the inside of the card, stamp wherever appeals to you! That is what is wonderful, you can follow mine or maybe add your creativity to it! No wrong in art so just have fun stamping!
Belly Band Info:
- cut Designer Series Paper 1″ x 10″ (you can get 14 belly bands from one sheet of 12″ x 12″!)
- place behind and fold to the front
- do not fold it too tight, belly band needs to slide off to open card
Stamp sentiment in Shaded Spruce and place on layering circle framelit. Place dimensionals on belly band to attach the sentiment. By doing this, you avoid the sentiment getting stuck to the card
