Pumpkins made from framelits!

It’s that time of year – pumpkin time!  The fall season official started on September 22nd and I created the ideal card to start the season.  My card features pumpkins made from framelits!  Let’s take a look at some fall fun!

Creating pumpkins!

For every class I hold at my home, I spend a good amount of time on each project.  When it is a card class, I like to show a variety of elements from card stock, stamps, embellishments as well as color combinations.  When I started the pumpkin card, I picked Sahara Sand as my card front color.  WHY?  I chose it because on another card I already picked Crumb Cake, which would of been my first choice I was thinking of for my “falls” card.  However, I am so happy with choice because the Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie pumpkins really popped against the Sahara Sand.

The Details:

A lot of small elements went into making the card.  Each piece completes the look I was achieving.  I added the Share What You Love Speciality Designer Series Paper to tie in all the colors I used.  It may not match perfectly but it sure does blend well!  I love the Burlap Ribbon and Line Thread to add that country feel.  The card base was cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.  Using the circle or oval framelits allowed me to choose different size pumpkins.  On the video below, I mention which circle and oval framelits I used.  Creating “punch art” always adds something special to your project, do you agree?
