First time with the Lilypad Lake Bundle

Highlighting another bundle from the Annual Catalog, the Lilypad Lake Bundle.  I will admit, the bundle is on page 133 and I skipped right over it!  I happened to be over my Upline’s home and she mentioned how much she loved it and encouraged me to create something with it.  Taking her advice, my first time with the Lilypad Lake Bundle is the card of the day!

Anything Nautical, I love!

I was immediately drawn to the sailboats in the stamp set. I love anything nautical and soon as I saw the sailboats, they were my focus.  Searching the web, I did get inspired by another person’s creation and then made it my own with a few changes.  I love that crafters share.  Sometimes I may sit there for a moment or maybe an hour before I really get going.  Does that happen to you?  Well in the card for today, I decided, the Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon would be perfect with the sailboat images.  Next came the color combination because who does not love red, white and blue!

Lilypad Lake Bundle

As you can see, the bundle has a few options.  The swan is so elegant and I love several of the images have coordinating framelits!  Plus, I love the different size brackets for sentiments.  Such a pretty set that like I said, I skipped right over!

Full view!

The circle image in the stamp set, “the sun,” I used white embossing powder to make the circles pop on the Night of Navy card stock.  I stamped Night of Navy and Real Red on Whisper White card stock to give some design to the card.  I love using numerous stamps from one set to complete my card.  Although the sentiments in this set are amazing, I really was in need of a birthday card, so I chose a greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set.  Adding the gingham ribbon was the perfect choice and instead of knot or a simple bow, I made a fork bow.  Have you ever made a fork bow?  Check out my quick video to make one for yourself!

Fork Bow Video!

At a previous Stampin’ Up! Regional, I learned how to create the fork bow and have been hooked on it ever since! Let me know if you too love creating them too!
