Stampers Dozen Blog Hop August 2018

Can you believe how fast summer is flying by? It is already August 14th and time for the monthly Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! WOW!! This month, our organizer decided to give us a three color combo challenge. I have to say I love working with specific colors. I hardly ever design from a specific sketch, which I would be up for that challenge too but in the meantime, let’s check out my project for the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop August 2018.

The Color Challenge

When I first looked at the three colors for the blog hop, flowers immediately came to my mind. How about you? I went through my stamp sets and when I pulled out my Oh So Eclectic, I knew it would be perfect!

My simple card was created simply by creating my own background with the stamps in the stamp set! I loved using Flirty Flamingo for the “filler” flower stamp and adding leaves in Lemon Lime Twist to the pattern. Melon Mambo was used for the smaller stamps to help balance the brightness of the other two ink colors. As for the sentiment, I felt “hello” was the ideal choice because of the vibrant colors. The Hello came from the Darling Label Punch Box, which if you have not seen is awesome!

Blends on Rhinestones!

The Blends work nicely to color either the Basic Rhinestones or Basic Pearls. I used the Dark Flirty Flamingo to color 3 rhinestones to add under the Hello sentiment. Just the small details added to the card make the finish product polished!
