Abstract Impressions Bundle!
Yesterday was my first post that featured the Abstract Impressions Bundle and it definitely won’t be the last. While I was creating the Color Fusers Blog Hop June 2018, I decided why not try a few different creations and make a class! The Abstract Bundle has a lot to offer.
The Springtime Impressions Thinlits!
On my card I focused on the large floral die cut. It is so detailed with the floral design I really wanted to showcase it on a card. Normally, I would reach for the butterfly but I am glad I went with the large floral die cut. Simply using sponge daubers to add color created not one but two cards. On the Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide Card, I used the actual cut out on the card. The Basket Weave Embossing added the ideal texture to both the outside and inside of the card.
Card Details:
- cut card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score at 4 1/4″
- cut off 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ from one end
- die cut the floral design in Whisper White Card Stock
- cut Mint Macaron 4″ x 5 1/4″
- emboss about 1″ of the outside edge
- cut Mint Macaron 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
- emboss with Basket Weave Folder
- cut 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ Whisper White
Place the 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ square on your scrap paper and place the floral die cut over top. Carefully use sponge daubers to color the floral design. Don’t be afraid to color the “inside” of the die as it is actually creating a beautiful layer to make a note card or card with it! Once you have finished shading the floral design, using fine-tip glue, attach to the Mint Macaron layer. Add sentiment and some rhinestones and the card is complete!
FB Live!
From time to time, on my Customer Facebook Page, I have been experimenting with FB Live. I save it to my phone, then send to YouTube and then hopefully share here with you! Had a few hiccups today with my feed but I make the card, show you how I create two cards at one time and want to share it. I hope you find it helpful and will try it on your own. The Abstract Impressions Bundle will be the next product based class scheduled for July!
Using the Negative!
As you saw in the video, I placed a piece of Whisper White card stock under the floral die cut before I started to color. The finished product made a pretty layer for a note card or if you use a bigger piece, a complete card layer. Don’t be afraid to experiment, you may be pleasantly surprised with the result!
A lot of Newness!
Have you had a chance to see all the wonderful merchandise in the Annual Catalog? I am currently working on projects for my upcoming In Color Bingo Bash. Stayed tuned for those projects later this week!
