Petal Passion Designer Paper leaving soon
Another Designer Series Paper is about to retire later this month. The Annual Catalog and the Occasions Catalog have several pattern packs left that I surely will miss. At least for this month, I am using up the pieces in classes and sharing the creations with you! As of yesterday, the paper on today’s card was still available however, Petal Passion Designer Series Paper leaving soon!
Extra Supplies!
A few month’s ago, I was a giving a class at a crop. I had left over supplies and decided it was time to use the extra’s in a class. Having supplies prepped, the only item I changed was the focal point, the circle framelits. The previous card featured a heart for the center of the heart. Today’s card, I took out the Petal Palette Bundle and chose the large flower stamp and colored with markers. SIMPLE but completely different card! The best part of using markers, you can pick ANY color combination you want. I chose my colors based on ribbon! Yes, I wanted wanted to use the Lemon Lime Twist Striped Ribbon and the Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon. Problem solved, create 2 cards for class using both ribbons!
Create Your Own Z Folded Card!
The card was folded slightly different then the normal score at 4 1/4″ and fold. I liked the added fold to the front exposing the solid black card stock on the right. I used one of the thinlits from the Petal and More Thinlits to add color to the solid card stock and another thinlit for the sentiment. Several greetings from the Petal Palette Stamp Set work well with the thinlit.
Card Measurements:
- cut card base (Thick Whisper White) 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- score (with the 8 1/2″ along the top) at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
- cut Designer Series Paper (Petal Passion) 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″
- cut solid cardstock (Basic Black) 2″ x 5 1/4″
- die cut layering circle framelits for the focal point of the card
