Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2018
The first Monday of each month, the Color Fusers Blog Hop goes LIVE! I look forward to seeing the projects from the other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators involved in the hop. Do you feel the same excitement? This month, the photo above displays the color combination involved. Just below you will find what I created for the Color Fuser Blog Hop May 2018.
A Variety of Cards!
I have to be honest, I struggled with combining Very Vanilla and Whisper White on to the same card. Normally, I stick to one or the other on my projects. As you can see, I couldn’t make just one as I was experimenting with the color combination. Each card I decided to keep Perfect Plum card stock as my layering piece and limited the product to 2 stamp sets. However, using the same products on each of the cards, I can show how one color combination can create numerous looks!
Card #1!
The first card I created, I used the retiring Big On Birthday Stamp Set. I stamped with Versa Mark Ink and used clear embossing powder to make it shine. Using Sponge Daubers, I added each color over the embossed wording (3 1/4″ x 3 1/2″) to create my own background. A little Flirty Flamingo card stock (3 1/4″ x 3 1/2″) added behind for some contrast and my sentiment was complete. Balloons always remind me of birthdays, so naturally, grabbing the Balloon Bouquet Punch was a no brainer! What could I use on the balloons? The NOT GOING FORWARD Daisy Delight Bundle (save 10% on bundle until 5/31) was the perfect solution to design my balloons! Finish with some ribbon and card #1 was complete.
Card #2
Next up from my trio of cards, the Daisy Delight Bundle showcased! I stamped 2 of the daisy onto Very Vanilla in Perfect Plum Ink. I added Emerald Envy to the center to mix in the color into my design. The background was created with strips of card stock (1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″.) I stamped the daisy onto one, I used another stamp from the stamp set to create the polka dot pattern and lastly, 2 embossing folders to complete the background. (Yes, the embossing folder on the Flirty Flamingo is NEW! It is part of the Share What You Love Suite!) The sentiment, I picked one from the Big On Birthdays Stamp Set. It is simple to fuse your colors together with this design.
Card #3
One last attempt, this time using Very Vanilla card stock as my background piece. I die cut the Happy Birthday Thinlit and used sponge daubers to color it, which I love how it looks. Wanting it to stand out, I stamped the Daisy Delight Stamp Set on the upper part of the card stock. The Emerald Envy Ribbon was originally white but I used a sponge dauber to make it emerald. I love how Stampin’ Up! products lets your creativity flow! Getting the Whisper White on to the card, I chose a sentiment from the Big On Birthday Stamp Set. My card is finished and ready to send!
WOW! I am all ready!
With creating 3 cards from the same products I now have my next class projects! I can’t wait to share them with my local customers. Are you interested in taking classes online? I am trying to expand my business and I would love feedback. I can not thank you enough for reading through today’s post and hope you enjoy the rest of the creations. My product list follows the blog hop buttons.

thank you! I felt a little challenged with this one and once I started I wanted to see a few variations. Love Stampin’ Up! because the end results is always better than what I expected. 🙂
Love your creations ! I must say that card #3 is my favorite ! I like what you did with the ribbon and that HB is so pretty with the different colors . I keep trying to get that thinlet ,but it stays on BO !!
Great cards !!
I didn’t realize it was on backorder – I forget that I have the birthday thinlit and once I did the second card I was looking for something else to sponge dauber. 🙂
