Stampers Dozen Blog Hop April 2018
The Spring season started in March, however, here on the east coast, the warm weather has decided to stay away! I am so looking forward to sunny WARM skies! This month, the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop April 2018 features Springlike cards! It will happen, just patiently waiting for warmer days!
Retiring Tranquil Tulips Stamp Set
What is your favorite flower? Roses? Gerber Daises? Tulips? There are many to choose from and I am not sure I actually have a favorite flower. I seem to like everything. As for stamp sets, I pulled out all the retiring floral sets and narrowed down my choices. The Tranquil Tulips was an absolute favorite when it first appeared in the Stampin’ Rewards in June 2017.
My card!
After selecting my floral stamp set, I decided, focus on retiring colors. It is amazing how after the retiring list is posted, how using certain colors make you worry how much you will miss them! I decided to go with a blue theme and selected Marina Mist and Dapper Denim for the tulips. For the stem, Wild Wasabi was the ideal green shade. The retiring Watercolor Wash stamp was stamped in Sahara Sand (not retiring) because it gave the background the right amount of texture for me to stamp over! Did I make the right choice?
Window Shopping Stamp Set:
The Last-Chance Product List I will admit is long. I choose to look at my online store to see which items are leaving and then start creating. The Window Shopping Stamp Set has some amazing sentiments in it and my favorite stamps are often the stacked words. I love how much space they take up! As you can see on the card above, the sentiment just fits on the largest oval Stitched Shapes Framelit.

So my simple card features a bunch of retiring items. Remember quantities are limited, don’t delay in picking up your favorites before they leave on or before May 31st.
