Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop April 2018
With Sale-a-bration ending on March 31st, the Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop April 2018 helped get over the sorrow of saying good-bye to many items. It was a quick 3 months of working with Sale-a-bration products but I am ready to face April with focusing on items from the Occasions Catalog. So, why not start it off with my Color Fusers Card!
This month’s Color Combination:
As you can see from the first photo, April’s color combination features two colors from our Brights collection paired with a Subtle color. I will admit, I would not normally pick So Saffron to go with Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise so it was a welcome challenge to create with them all. I kept the layout basic and was able to highlight all the colors! Do you like the striped card stock on the lower half of the card?
The Details:
Are you wondering about the striped paper? I often create my own pattern paper with stamps from a stamp set. However, this is another favorite of mine, making a striped pattern representing the colors in my creation. To make the pattern, simply cut strips of 1/2″ card stock and adhere to a piece of Whisper White. It is a quick solution in blending the colors present in the project!
Picture Perfect Stamp Set!
The Picture Perfect Stamp Set is part of the Party Suite featured in the Occasions Catalog! It is packed with festive supplies to create numerous projects! The stamp set is loaded with a variety of stamps as well. Normally, I would stamp and punch my sentiment but, in this case, I chose to highlight the candles. I love the simple stamping of the candles followed by the flame. Lastly, I added a little bit of my Melon Mambo Marker to the center of the flame.

Hop to the next or back to the previous!
It is time for me to wrap up my post. I hope I inspired you to pick up those 1/2″ scraps and quickly create your own pattern paper. Hop forward to Sara’s or back to Debbie’s for more creative projects featuring the color combinations of Melon Mambo, So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise. My product list is included at the bottom.
Happy Stampin’

Good job with the color challenge Bonnie. Love your strips of cardstock and the pretty bow!
Thank you Debbie. I have to say at first I was like where do I start and it’s funny I have a few “staples” in my creativity that if I am sure, they always pull through for me. I love using strips of card stock to tie colors together. Use it often. 🙂
